Life in rural East Cumbria is enriched six times a year when musicians from around Europe come to Appleby-in-Westmorland and perform for our discerning audiences attending our Sunday night concerts.
Many already know of this ancient county town of the now defunct County of Westmorland for its hosting of the Appleby Horse Fair when the travelling community arrive in June to trade and race their horses and ponies on Fair Hill.
Our concert season runs from autumn to spring and presents classically-trained performers - often more used to some of the finest venues in the world - performing a broad range of music, but usually with a clear classical leaning. A glance through our programme will give a good indication of what to expect and we continue to deliver these at ticket prices that are distinctly affordable.
Do come along to a single concert for a taster of what we offer. Tickets are on sale on the night at the door, you don't have to pre-book and parking is very easy.
Please note there is no audio-loop in the hall. Wheelchair access is very easy and we can easily remove a chair or two and sit your party together.
