Yorkshire Imps programme
It's The Imps. The band that bring our biggest audience of the year every time they come to Appleby. They just about fit onto our stage and it is a careful path that their conductor beats across the front of the stage to take up his rightful position, each front-line musician breathing in, in turn to make space for the maestro.
As ever, they will be arriving in Appleby fresh from another band competition, this time it will be the Butlins Mineworkers Championships at Skegness jsut the previous weekend. Competition work produces a real focus for bands and so expect some fireworks on Sunday 26th with every band member at the peak of their preparation for performance.
